The Transvaal Horse Artillery (THA) is a reserve force regiment forming part of the South African Army Conventional Reserves. The Regiment is currently under the command and control of the South African Army Artillery Formation.

1904 - 2006
Established on the 17th of March 1904 as Lys Volunteer Corps, the regiment was from inception dependent on horse transport. The regiment's name was later changed to the Transvaal Horse Artillery Volunteers, remaining as such until 1911, when the present name was adopted.

The THA celebrated 100 Years of Loyal Service to South Africa on the 17th March 2004.
A mess dinner was held on Friday 19th March 2004 at the Rand Club for 200 serving members, past members and other dignitaries to celebrate the 100th Birthday of the Regiment.
